Terms & Conditions

NextLogic Pte Ltd (established in Singapore May 10, 2005, Reg. No. 200506391D) (NL/we/us) developed and maintains the StudentLogic Parents App (App). These terms and conditions (Terms of Use) govern your use of the App.

By downloading installing, displaying or using the App, you accept these Terms of Use.

  1. Level of access and user of the App.Parents and students of the NextLogic’s clients who are using StudentLogic school management system and are currently active members of those clients (tuition centers or learning organisations) may use Parents App.The access to the App will be discontinued when learning centre or tuition centre ceases to be NL’s client or when you withdraw from the institution.

    Without limiting any provision of these Terms of Use, you agree to:

  • Not to copy, transmit, distribute, reproduce, license, alter, reverse engineer, adapt or modify the whole or any part of the App in any way whatsoever.
  • Not to use the App in any unlawful manner, for any unlawful purpose, or in any manner inconsistent with these Terms of Use, or hacking into or inserting malicious code, destruction of data, including viruses, or harmful data, into the App.
  • Not to use the App in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, impair or compromise the App.
  • To comply with any applicable law and regulation relating to downloading or technology used or supported by the App.
  1. Intellectual property rightsYou acknowledge that all intellectual property rights (including copyright) in the content, layout, design, concept, graphics, software and organisation of the App (NextLogic Materials) are owned by or licensed to NextLogic.NextLogic grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for your personal use in accordance with there Terms of Use.

    You may view the materials contained in the App, for your personal, non-commercial use or record, and you may use the App functionalities to perform self-service (e.g change personal details, request re-schedule, pay outstanding invoices, etc.) to the extent you are authorised to perform such self-service.

    You may not otherwise copy or change the NextLogic Materials, and must not adapt, communicate, sell, or otherwise deal with NextLogic Materials.

    “StudentLogic” and all related graphics, photographs, logos and product and service names are trade marks (both registered and unregistered) of NextLogic or its affiliates. You may not use any of them without prior written consent of NextLogic.

  1. DisclaimersThe App is provided to you on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and may from time to time contain errors, faults, and inaccuracies. To the maximum extent permitted by the law we make no representation and provide no express or implied warranty or guarantee about the security of the App, the safety of any file or software associated with (such as safety from any virus or defects including those which could damage or interfere with any data, software or hardware with which it might be used) or that access to the App, will be uninterrupted.The content of the App is for information purposes only and NextLogic bares no responsibility for the content created by our clients who are back-end users of the school management system that feeds information into the App. NextLogic does not guarantee or warrant the accuracy, quality, completeness, reliability or currency of the App and data in it. (including any errors in or omissions from the content of the App). You should make and rely on your own assessment and enquiries to verify the accuracy of the information provided.

    NextLogic does not provide telecommunications services and does not warrant that you will have continuos access to the App or that it will be supplied fault free. NextLogic will not be liable in the event that the App is unavailable to you due to computer downtime attributable to malfunctions, upgrades, preventive or remedial maintenance activities or interruption in telecommunication supply. NextLogic reserves the right to suspend or terminate the availability of the App at any time. You agree to access and use the App entirely at your own risk.

  2. Limitation of liabilityTo the maximum extent permitted by the law, NextLogic and its officers, employees and agents accept no liability for any damage, loss, illness or injury (including any loss of profits or income, business interruption, and loss or corruption of data or other information) arising as a result of:
  • your access to or use of the App or websites or applications linked to the App
  • the information on the App, or on websites or applications linked to the App, being incorrect, incomplete or misleading
  • any reliance on, action or decision by you in relation to the information contained on the App
  • any delay or interruption in access to or use of the App or websites or applications linked to the App
  • any interference, loss, damage or disruption to your own smartphone or otherwise which arises in connection with your use of the App.
  1. Privacy StatementNextLogic is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information and will handle your information in line with the NextLogic Privacy Policy.
  2. CookiesIf your smartphone is set to accept cookies, a cookie will be stored on your smartphone when you use App. Cookies allow NextLogic to collect information about your smartphone, which may include your UDID address [a unique data item description assigned to your smartphone]. NextLogic uses cookies together with Google Analytics to track the functions of the App utilised by you and to authenticate you for the purposes of processing certain transactions in the App. This information is also used to maintain the quality of our services and to provide tracking and statistics regarding the use of App.If you would rather not have this information stored on your smartphone, you can configure your smartphone so it does not accept cookies. However, if you disable cookies you may not be able to access or use all parts of the App.
  3. Governing LawThese Terms of Use are governed by the laws in force in Singapore. Both you and NextLogic irrevocably submit to non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore and all courts with jurisdictions to hear appeal from those courts.
  4. End-User Terms Required by AppleYou acknowledge and agree that, if the App used by you is an iPhone application:
  • these terms and conditions are between you and NextLogic, and not Apple, Inc. [“Apple”]
  • NextLogic, and not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and Apple has no responsibility whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App
  • Subject to consumer guarantees provided for in consumer protection legislation, Apple will have no warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App
  • Apple is not responsible for any claims that you have arising out of your use of the App
  • You represent and warrant that : [i] you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and [ii] you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited ore restricted parties, and
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms and conditions and, upon your acceptance of these terms and conditions Apple will have the right [and will be deemed to have accepted the right] to enforce these terms and conditions against you as a third party beneficiary.
  1. Suspension and termination

In addition to any other suspension or termination rights specified in these Terms of Use, NextLogic may at any time suspend or terminate your registration to the App if in its opinion you:

  • breach these Terms of Use,
  • commit any dishonest or fraudulent act in relation to these Terms of Use,
  • behave in manner which in the reasonable opinion of NextLogic might tend to adversely affect the reputation and /or public image of NextLogic,
  • infringe any intellectual property right or privacy, moral or publicity right of NextLogic or any third party.Upon termination of your registration:
  • your login will be cancelled and you will no longer be able to entitled to access the App,
  • the perpetual license you have granted to NextLogic to use your member’s content shall continue,
  • your license to use the materials on the App automatically terminates, and
  • any provisions of these Terms of Use which by nature would be expected to survive termination, shall survive and remain in full force and effect in accordance with these terms.
  1. Changes to Terms of UseNextLogic reserves the right from time to time to change any of these terms and conditions without prior notice or your consent, so please read updated Terms and Conditions if you want to be informed as by using this App you automatically agree to all Terms of Use as of current date.
  2. General These Terms of Use contain the entire terms and conditions that apply to your registration to and your use of the App. Your rights and obligations under these Terms of Use may not be transferred or assigned directly or indirectly without the prior written consent of NextLogic. If the whole or any part of these Terms of Use are invalid, unenforceable, illegal, void or voidable for any reason, these Terms of Use will be construed and be binding as if the invalid, unenforceable, illegal, void or voidable part had been deleted from them or read down to the extent necessary to overcome difficulty.A waiver by NextLogic of any breach or a failure to enforce or to insist on the observance of a condition of these Terms of Use will not be a waiver of any other or of any other subsequent breach.

    NextLogic will not be responsible or liable for failure to perform any obligation under these Terms of Use if such failure is caused by the occurrence of any matter beyond its reasonable control including, without limitation, internet and communication outages, ire, flood, war, or act of God.
